In the week of the "national monument open day" 2012 some dork has taken our fountains out of order again by stealing the pump and 70 m of the water pipe. He had cut the pipe were it came out of the arrow loop. It must have been quite a bit of work for a fairly limited amount of value!
Of course, the trust administration has reported the theft to the police. However, as most of the time, criminal investigations have been discontinued due to the fact that "no accused person" could be found. It is a pity! However, we will not let us discourage and continue working our dream of getting all fountains in the Castle into operation again.
