Schwarzachaue

The river Schwarzach meanders across the area of the Stromer trust. Already Prof. Wolfgang v. Stromer's thinking was strongly determined by the ideas of nature protection. In many lawsuits he forced the abutting municipalities to clean their waste water prior to dumping it into the Schwarzach river. Today, trouts and crayfish (Astacus astacus) again enjoy the clean water. Since the banks are natural and there are no buildings, in times of floods, the river can simply pass over the banks without causing any damage.
