Up to around 1720, at the northern part of the great hall there existed an annex with a second storey of timber frame construction. The last Paumgartner had it replaced by massive construction and added a third storey. The gauge of the walls of this annex, the so-called "Himmelbettstatt" (four-poster bed stead), is less than that of the main building, though. There is a staircase leading from the inner yard to the eponymous baroque bridal chamber located in the first floor. Paumgartner had it established for his young bride. |
